Play Therapy

Play Therapy

Using the natural language of childhood to help children heal, grow, and express themselves.

What Is Play Therapy?

Play is a child’s natural language. Play Therapy uses this universal medium to help children communicate experiences, emotions, and challenges they may not yet have the words to express. Through structured and unstructured play, children can work through difficult experiences in a safe and developmentally appropriate way.

Play Therapy is guided by a trained therapist who observes and participates in play to help children process emotions, develop coping skills, and build resilience. It is recommended by the Association for Play Therapy for children ages 3–12.

What Play Therapy Helps With

    What Happens in a Session?

Sessions take place in a specially designed playroom equipped with art supplies, sand, puppets, dolls, and other therapeutic toys. The therapist follows the child’s lead while gently guiding the play toward therapeutic goals.
